Aislynn tastes the world!
Aislynn just got her first 2 teeth, but she has been tasting the world for the last couple of weeks, at least. Here are some shots of her enjoying what she's found:
RIBS!

Graham crackers (every motorcycle chick should have one!)

Chocolate chip cookies (that's my girl!)

SUSHI!

Aislynn also loves her bath...don't take me out!!!

Easter 2008
As Murphy's law would have it, I bought the kids matching Easter outfits this year, but could not use them because 3 out of my 4 kids have colds (which excludes them from their nursery/Sunday school classes). However, we did have a blast as a family at our church's outdoor Easter egg hunt. The kids got more candy than is healthy, and I was privvy to several chocolate variations. This morning I made pancakes in the shape of a cross, which the kids thought was cool ("MOM, how did you DO that?"). We ended the day with reading the Easter story from Jaden's new children's picture Bible that Granny gave him for Easter. Overall, a great day! Thank you, Jesus, for sending your son to die and RISE!!!!

The Dolphins
Jaden and Titus have started the spring session of swim team with the Fig Garden "Dolphins". They practice 4 days a week for 30-45 minutes...each day they work on a different stroke: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. They also practice diving off the edge and doing flip turns so they will be prepared for swim meets. Last year, Jaden participated in one meet, but we hope to do more this year (since Titus can actually participate this year, and Jaden had a BLAST at the one last year!). Selfishly, I love swim season because I get to chat with other moms while my kids wear themselves out....what could be better?

Show me your swimming muscles!!!

Who Says Fresno Ain't Beautiful?
I was struck today with the thought that Fresno IS a beautiful place to live! (Ask me again in 4 months when it's 110 degrees and I may think differently.) Nevertheless, I am choosing to enjoy this season in Fresburg, as I drive around and see all the beautiful trees and the clear shots of the snow-capped mountains (proof to Jaden that we DO live in a valley!). My sis Andrea got these cool mountain shots, while I snapped the trees....Our God is an awesome God!

Jaden takes a shot!
I remember when Jaden was 4 years old, and he was more interested in chasing the seagulls on the soccer field than the black and white ball on the grass. Well, he's 7 1/2, and now he plays on a basketball team at church (and his attention span lasts the entire game!). The kids in this basketball program learn Bible verses each week, and get iron-on stars for their t-shirts for showing good sportsmanship, Christ-likeness and best effort in the games. I love that it is non-competitive at Jaden's age, and that Jaden is learning such great life lessons through a sport he loves! Nice shot Jaden!
