Candy Cane Lane

My Sunday School class does an annual walk down Candy Cane Lane. The kids really enjoyed it...especially the REAL snow on someone's lawn and the chance to tell the "real Santa" what they wanted for Christmas (Jaden turned to me in panic: "Mom, what do I want again?!!"). Such a stressful time of year for little ones. Ha!

We had a birthday party for Jesus this week at our house! Many friends came and we decorated cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus many times! It was good to remember the Reason for the season.

Sweet Kamilah

My sweet Kamilah (a little girl I had helped take care of the last 5 years)went to be with Jesus this week. I had the privilege of making the video slide show of Kamilah's pictures for her funeral service...with the magnificent help of my buddies Mariano and Cecilia...Thanks guys! I will miss Kamilah's silly mannerisms and her love and trust of everone she met....You will be missed, dear Kamilah.
