Wedding Week

The week of Andrea's wedding was fun...filled with relatives visiting, walks, swims, food and more food....Here's some pic's of the highlights:

Titus, Uncle Mark and the monkeys (wait...which ones are the monkeys?):

As above, "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". Jaden, Titus and Noah in the jacuzzi at the hotel before the wedding.

Uncle Mike playing with a giggly Aislynn:

Uncle Mark enjoyed visiting with his family in Fresno, but what he REALLY loved was cuddling with Aden (and Aunt Kathy slept with Aden on her face that night!):

Eating at the Patio Cafe in Fig Garden Village with Mom, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Mark, Andrea, Noah, Uncle Phil, me and Aislynn the day before the wedding:

My sister is now Mrs. Torigian!

Me and my sis right before we had to put our dresses on (YES, I am wearing makeup---look now 'cuz you'll probably never see it again!)

Andrea's wedding dress and the view of the church out her hotel window:

My sister and Mat finally tied the knot on September 20th. They both looked fabulous (as did ring-bearer Jaden) and the wedding was memorable...beautiful Armenian traditions, a little humor, and lots of LOVE!

Andrea and Grandpa Mac at the rehearsal dinner:

Andrea's Art Show

My artist sister is being showcased this month (September) at Full Circle Brewing Company in downtown Fresno. Here's some of her artwork being displayed. Cool, huh?

Cute Random Pic's!

Aislynn has so much personality...she's at that age where she cracks me up and then frustrates me all in the same minute! Fortunately, most of the pic's I have reflect the happy, cute moments. So perhaps the other will fade out of my memory, and I'll be left with just this:

Noah loves the circle swing outside...he can finally hold on long enough to enjoy it!

People have told me that kids get to the age where they can actually be a help to you around the house, but I tend to underestimate my kids' potential a lot. The other night, Titus told me he wanted to do the dishes. He unloaded the dishwasher (arranging the silverware in PERFECT columns), and then he washed off all the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher! I showed him where the cups, plates, etc. go in the dishwasher and he did pretty good! All night he kept saying, "I was a big help, huh mommy?" I just kept saying, "I don't know what I would do without you."

Jaden's 8th birthday celebration with the McLain's!

The McLain family celebrated Jaden's bday by eating lunch and ice cream cones at Foster's Freeze.

Then it was off to the SPCA for Jaden to pick out a new cat (he knew he wanted an orange and white cat, and he hoped it would be a kitten). Jaden knew this was his cat when it started licking and nibbling his ear!

Here we all are at the adoption center, about to leave with our new member of the family:

Have you ever heard that animals look like their owners? Check out the eyes!

Jaden got a "diamond"-studded collar for his new kitty, Aden (he named him Aden so it would rhyme with his name...I suggested lollipop-he likes to lick-and a myriad of others, but Aden has stuck in his mind).

Upcoming Wedding Bells

I hosted a bridal shower at my house this past weekend for Andrea (wedding date: September 20th). I thought the far-away family might enjoy these pic's of Andrea's future in-laws, and the group of ladies that gathered for an intimate shower (I am not in the picture 'cuz I'm snapping it). Note the cute little boy/girl pic's of Mat and Andrea.
